Day 1. City of Entry – Yuncheng Airport-
Upon arrival in the city of entry, take a flight to Yuncheng, Shanxi Province to pick up the plane and stay overnight at a local hotel in Yuncheng (please refer to the departure notice for specific hotels)
Day 2. Yuncheng Hukou Ganquan
After breakfast, go to Hukou to visit China’s largest yellow waterfall, the Yellow River Hukou Waterfall (excluding round-trip scenic fees of 40 yuan/person). Hukou Waterfall is a natural waterfall formed when the middle reaches of the Yellow River flows through the Jin Shan Grand Canyon, and is the second largest waterfall after Huangguoshu Waterfall in Guizhou Province. The rolling Yellow River flows through here, and the flood is suddenly constrained by both sides. The wide terrain above and narrow terrain below causes the river to churn and surge in the height difference, with a sound like pouring out of a huge pot, hence the name “Hukou Waterfall”. Among them, the two famous wonders of “dry land boating” and “smoking in the water” are exclusive and rare. The scenery of Hukou Waterfall varies throughout the four seasons, with turbulent river water in spring and summer. If there is sufficient sunlight, you can still see the colorful red across the Yellow River! (Tour for about 80 minutes). Day 3. Ganquan Grand Canyon – Jingbian
After breakfast, visit the Ganquan Grand Canyon (including a large ticket, excluding the scenic area’s small transportation at 70 yuan/person). Yucha Canyon is a magical world of light and shadow. This is a place that is extremely similar to the American Antelope Canyon: several hundred million years ago, a strong earthquake occurred in northern Shaanxi, which separated a large crack in a loess mountain. After hundreds of years of rainwater erosion, it slowly formed such a canyon, which is also the Ganquan Canyon we see today. Whenever the sunlight shines directly into the narrow valley, a miracle of light and shadow appears! At present, five canyons have been discovered, namely Huabaocha Canyon, Longbagou Canyon, Nanhe Mudan Valley Canyon, Yixiantian Canyon, and Huashugou Canyon. Experts refer to it as the “natural fissure wonder of the Loess Plateau” and it is a unique geological beauty unique to northern Shaanxi. At present, there are only two canyons under external development: Huashugou Canyon and Nanhe Mudangou Canyon.

Day 4. Jingbian Wave Valley – Yan’an Jinyan’an
Take a car to Jingbian and visit the Wave Valley Scenic Area. Longzhou Danxia Landform is currently the largest Danxia Landform in Shaanxi, known locally as “Wave Valley” or “Red Stone Hill”, also known as the Jingbian Red Sandstone Canyon. The red sandstone here exhibits various postures and colors under wind and rain erosion, presenting different scenes at different angles and times. When the weather clears after rain, the color of red sandstone becomes more vibrant, and it also forms special light and shadow under the sunlight, which is spectacular and unique, thus attracting the attention of many photography experts. In the early spring morning, the sun slightly reveals and disperses the morning dew on the red sandstone, making the surface of the rock more vibrant red. The color of Hongyan becomes incredibly vivid and vivid in the soft morning light, and the texture becomes more layered.
Take a car to Yan’an (about 2.5 hours drive, 300km on the highway and provincial road) and freely check in the Yan’an Red Culture Theme Block (Yan’an Red Street) to experience the old Yan’an. The gray house tiles, sloping eaves, cave faces, and yellow mud walls make it feel like stepping into Yan’an Red Street brings people back to the old Yan’an ancient city. A Yan’an Red Street connects the soul of the entire block with the theme of red culture. Walking into Yan’an, walking into Red Street, and experiencing the story of the revolutionary old area.

Day 5. Yan’an Yunqiu Mountain
After breakfast, take a bus to Yan’an and visit Yangjialing (excluding earphones in the scenic area, 10 yuan/person, visit for about 40 minutes). The site of the 7th National Congress of the Communist Party of China was where the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China led the Chinese revolution (visit for about 40 minutes).
Visit Zhongnanhai [Zaoyuan], which is known as Yan’an (excluding scenic earphones priced at 10 yuan/person). This is not only the former residence of revolutionary figures such as Zhou Enlai and Liu Shaoqi, but also the site of the Secretariat’s small auditorium, combat research room, and confidential room. After visiting, return to Yunqiu Mountain (please pay attention to the departure notice for specific hotels)
Day 6. Yunqiu Mountain – Yuncheng – Departure City
After enjoying breakfast, take a car to Yunqiu Mountain (driving for about 2 hours), and upon arrival, visit the Yunqiu Mountain Scenic Area (including tickets, excluding electric scooters, 20 yuan/person).
Afterwards, visit Tarpo Ancient Village (tour time of about 1 hour) to learn about the ancient village in Shanxi. The small stream below the village is clear and beautiful, and the water source comes from the “divine spring” of Yunqiu Mountain. The water is sweet and refreshing, and rich in minerals. It is a natural high-quality water source. You can bring your own water bottle, taste the spring water, and walk into Tarpo Ancient Village. The people, trees, grass, stones, and houses have already formed a beautiful and moving picture.
Visit the Magic Ice Cave Group (excluding tickets and scenic fees of 120 yuan/person, approximately 40 minutes), which is one of the world’s three major ice cave wonders and currently the largest natural ice cave group discovered in China. Take a bus to Yuncheng Airport at the appropriate time and take a flight back to the departure city. End the happy journey and return to your warm home.
